Dart Place, Queenstown — Under Construction

Dart Place, Queenstown

Currently under construction, Dart Place is a Queenstown home by Young+Richards+ shaped by its steep hillside setting and expansive lake and mountain views. Two slender forms step across the slope, giving the house a distinctive profile against the wooded backdrop.

Dark cladding contrasts with warm timber-lined openings, where recessed decks and generous glazing draw the landscape into the home. The rooflines lend definition to the exterior, while the building’s staggered arrangement breaks down its scale.

Inside, the spaces unfold across a series of levels. The kitchen and dining area sit above the lounge, looking through to the deck and the alpine scenery beyond. Timber finishes and integrated cabinetry bring warmth and continuity, with a restrained palette that keeps attention on the outlook.

Dart Place offers a considered response to hillside living in Queenstown, balancing an open connection to the landscape with the intimacy of home.
